Nice!
Did you try moving the prosthetic further up her arm? Also to me, at least, the machinery seems to be sort-of just stuck there; I can't quite put my finger on why...maybe attaching the straps further back would give it a more cohesive feel?
The mechanical hand is exactly where her original hand was, that is where it looked best. Also it is difficult to make the straps join the tank as the harness needs to be tight against her body to be realistic. In this position you wouldn't be able to see them join on the tank. Thanks for your comment.
Ah! I think I've figured out what doesn't look right to me..the actual position of the machine...I think that, from the viewer's point of view, it might look more natural moved left and rotated clockwise slightly.
Well done, author. And good uhm... choice of source . Good luck!
I always say Waz, if you are going to use a model then you may as well use a sexy one.
Pretty big gizmo on her back...no wonder she can't stand up!
With the propellers spinning Bob, it can support its own weight.
Amazing creativity! GL
Nice image and great idea and execution on the whole thing.
Regarding the background factory stock, there are rules for offsite usage that require written permission from the owner. Just checking if you got permission.
"Angelrat-Stock images may only be used on deviantART. If you wish to use Angelrat-Stock images somewhere other than deviantART, you must request and recieve written permission before you use the images."
Angelrat-Stock's last journal entry states:-
"I am no longer active here ... I really don't read messages or notes anymore so if I don't respond ... that's why.
Use what's here ... no need to let me know ... you can still post what you have used here and I'll have a look and add to favs when I find the time. I still enjoy looking at what's been done with my crap.
Just enjoy your art... peace ... Angelrat-Stock (Feb. 21, 2009)"
That infers that permission is already given.
As written in the response above the DA author has stated they are no longer active and added "Use what's here ... no need to let me know ... ". This does indicate that permission or contact is no longer required and we will accept that as written.
Author, I got burned by DA rules recently when I used a pic and contacted the author for permission but they never got back to me; so I've started a bookmark folder of DA stock suppliers who only require a credit, not permission, to use any of their work.
Well done, a fine example of Steampunk! I can see you like the subject!
@kcinsti- DA does have many fine images but the authors often have complex rules. Good idea to keep a list of the easy to use authors. Remember also to check DA sources closely, some images may be chopped and that's not always clear also don't use "premade" backgrounds or images, those are most always chopped works.
Congrats, Solkee!
