Why are the bubbles above the waterline? And the light source on the bubbles is from below, unlike the rest of the image. I do like the way you resolved the conflicting shadows when you mirrored the image.
Thanks for looking in such detail! I was trying to go for more of a surreal effect with the bubbles. Although you are correct with the lighting of the bubbles. Unfortunately the bubble brush I used has the light source on the bottom. Not sure how to fix it other than using a different brush. Thanks for your time.

About the bubbles, you could change the direction of the brush in the brush presets... then the highlights would be the same as the rest of the image.
Bad dream, hope the bear survived.
