Ever since time travel was invented, the Time Patrol has been safeguarding history from any attempts to alter it. The Winged Hourglass was chosen as their emblem and It adorns all patrolmen's helmets. Their uniforms and helmets are designed to blend into the time periods they are assigned to. Here are two examples from the archives. The first is a 7th century Saxon helmet, whose wearer perished in the line of duty. It was just recently recovered and over time, it has corroded, but the emblem is still mostly intact.
The second helmet is worn by 20th century time patrolmen, and will soon be updated to a 21st century version.

I really love the old helmet, very nicely done. I will say that I would like to see some sort of texture added to the emblem on the new helm though. Against the hard edges of the rest of the helmet it looks a little too soft to me. With that shade of gray, it looks sort of pewter to me, so maybe some subtle pitting to it to add that extra touch of realism? Nice job either way.

Hmmm...about the new helmet...I'm not sure about pitting because it's so relatively new, but I'll play around with it.
EDIT: Made the emblem more defined & metallic. Looks better now IMO.
