I love sentimental stuff like this, they can be sad and hopeful at the same time. You should add a low/crumbling wall or something for the shadows to be up against, since you have them upright. Shadows fall on the ground unless something gets in their way.
I was kind of going for the "Ghost/Wrong shadow". A wall would ruin that illusion in what I was going for, but I do understand exactly what you are saying. Thank you so very much.
