Besides the sources used, I used only photoshop brushes to paint in the water and splashes on the fountain.I used sqirlz program to create the pond ripples. http://www.xiberpix.net/SqirlzReflect.html.
There are 80 frames in this animation.
The quality seems poor, I think because I lowered the settings to make the file approx 5mb.
How do some of you manage to get 150 frames in an animation and still end up with a final file of approx 5 mb?
This is the first animation I have ever done in photoshop so any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated. (5 years and 1125 days ago)
- 1: Garden background
- 2: Fountain
- 3: Butterfly1
- 4: Butterfly2
- 5: Butterfly3
- 6: Butterfly 4
- 7: Caterpillar 1
- 8: Caterpillar 2
- 9: Caterpillar 3
The perspective of the small fountain doesn't match that of the larger one.
It would be very helpful if you had some tips on how to match perspective properly but thanks for your observation.
Scaling would work to change the size of the ellipses.
The small fountain appears to be tilting towards us because the ellipses are too open. See this link for tips about ellipses in perspective: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMRhuUQREMQ
Thank you for the video link spaceranger. It is most helpful. I will try not to make the same mistake next time.
Nice work, a lot of effort.
Thank you. I did each frame individually and it took ages, but I am still not 100% happy with the end result.
Did you use the add-on and set your perspective in Photoshop, or spin it on the "Squid" site?
I had to spin it on the site because my version of photoshop is not compatible with the add on.
lovely creation. the thought behind this is wonderful . greatt use of the sites rotational function of images.
Thank you.
glad that you got your entry in.. you did a great job. think you can teach me a thing or 4
I doubt it. I hardly know what I am doing yet when it comes to making animations in photoshop. Just fumbling my way through whatever tutorials I manage to find.
Its a fun learning experience though.
you and me both
I find it hard to believe that you are beginner at animation. If these are a sample what you start with, you will only improve. You have set a very high standard.
