High up on a tree, the large black Raven was sitting. In his beak, he had a big piece of cheese which he wanted to save for dinner. He was happily looking around and very proud of his treasure. At this moment, the Fox came out of the wood. At once he saw that the Raven had a tasty looking bit of cheese and he made up his mind instantly that this was just right for himself. But the tree was certainly very high, and the cheese very safe in the Raven's beak. (5 years and 1030 days ago)

I like the composition, it has good balance and rhythm. I do have some suggestions, the bird seems to be a bit closer to us (the observer) than the fox which works based on the line of sight of the fox to the bird, the problem for me is that the tree itself is further away creating an almost Escher like look. That can be fixed by extending the base of the tree so it's in front of the foreground grass making it appear closer to us and more in line with the bird and branch. You can do this with a little cloning work. I should also mention the branch with the bird is darker than the rest of the tree which is very obvious in the Hi Res and should match the tone of the rest of the tree. The cheese may be a bit too large to be held by a bird of that size IMHO. I know I may seem over critical but I like this image and think a few minor fixes would really make it even better.
Thanks for your suggestions SpaceRanger. I have lowed down the tree a bit, and brightened the branch again (I dakened it before, thinking you would say something about the raven’s shadow
As I have flattened the cheese and the raven in one block (yes, I know…) the cheese seems to have an ideal size to me. If it was too small, the fox wouldn’t find it so mouth-watering!
Looks better to me!
Nice image... good luck...
Thanks George!
