The idea is good but I think it could be made great if you blend the real bird with the tattoo to make the tat actually look like its coming alive rather than looking like it is just a shadow. You could also make the wire transition better to look like the wire is coming out of the leg rather than just wrapping around the tattoo on the leg.
Thank you Skyangel. I have darkened a little bit the bird chest and reajusted the base of the barbwire (Ouch!) in... the arm (I think it is an arm?), and now I wish to leave it as it is, and not to melt too much the living bird with the arm or the tattoo.
I agree with Skyangel, I'd have the wire come more clearly out of the tattoo. But I love the idea of adding a 2nd bird as a kind of companion.
