More I've looked at this the more I liked it. Attempted murder by Bi-plane. Great scene from the movie. This is cool.
The curve in the planes wing isn't really necessary but because this is surreal it's your choice. I'm just thinking if the wing was straight (proper) it would look like it's "ENTERING" the scene as opposed to being "WARPING IN" to the scene. Don't know if that makes sense but that's what I see. Take it with a HUGE grain of salt... hehehe
Fun use of Polar Coor. 
I think pulling the airplane out of the tiny planet will make the image more believable. It's not part of the tiny planet.
And I am about 10000km away from my computer
