awesome!
Author, I think you should get rid of a black stroke on the left of the door (next to the cat's back). Also if you can make her hair softer (use smudge tool for example) and blur the scene behind the door a bit to be equal to the scene outside, it'll be better. Otherwise, that's a cool job
Really magic!
It looks like the cat is saying "If I could just get on top of her head!!!" hehehe.. very nice author
Thanks langstrum, updated as your suggesstion.
Great job! I like the cat
Great image author...i did not see previous version but this one is fantastic...My only nit pick is about girl's sharpness...Select the girl layer, contract selection for maybe 2 pixels, invert selection and use blur tool all over the selected part.Any how, this is fabulous work and high votes from me...good luck
Beautiful and serene

Interesting work on the background.
Funny and good !
nice work
nice work author
good luck
Why no SBS? I think many, myself included, would like to know how you handled the background. Is it a painting? GL
im to lazy for to do a sbs. lol. but the back is some forest picture i found. i changed the colors and added some distortion with some layer effects and opacity changes. the back ground has 2 layers that give it a weird wavy effect and then the glowing lines is just that glowing lines filter in photoshop cs3. but yea there you go artgirl!!!!!
Thanks for the explanation. It's really not that hard to do an SBS if you save often in a folder for contest you are working on, numbering your saves along with an explanation of what you added in each step. I save each step as a PSD and also as a JPeg. Wish I had more than Adobe 6 to work with, though. Will watch for more of your work. GL

Happy Birthday Mario.
Compression kills, please view in High Resolution. (5 years and 3528 days ago)
Real nice, I like how the blur is applied to the outer frame section.
First Elf in this contest and it is a woman elf..like it a lot...good luck author!
Composition looks quite ok. It's just that the background has another light source compared to the elf. Good luck!
very nice composition, I like the frame and blurred edge, as well as her ears. Are you sure she's not a Vulcan in disguise?
Nice work
great entry
great!

Not bad except for the wings...
I agree with CMYK about the wings; you could real insect wings turned into blue - but it's only a suggestion!
Beautiful scene right there...good luck author
I will try to fix the wing problem. I don't really like them myself
CMYK46 & Erikuri, hope it's better now
These wings look a lot better too me.
nice result...
great entry ! a real beauty !
Looks great with the new wings...good luck.

Good job
Maybe make the water drops a little transparent
GL
good work!
Thanks loopyluv; Made the water more transparent, hope it look better now
Source image is unrecognizable...you could have made this from anything.
It is really made from the stairs - that's the whole wooden texture look - you can see it in the SBS. Also I thought that the more author's own input, the better - or am I wrong on that? If so, I am sorry.
You needn't apologize but I agree with what CMYK46 is saying. There should be a unique look to the image that could only be achieved with the given source, this looks very nice but isn't really dependent on the contest source image.
Author this is very very nice work,i agree that u could made this with anything but lots entry's at pxleyes are made at the same way so don't worry.Maybe u could add some parts from source image, stairs in the background or something else u will have 100% unquestionable entry...Good luck, this is great creativity...
Thanks for the encouragement ... I do see your point guys; so in order to add another thing from the source image which would be more recognizable, I took out the fly and put in a snake instead, which is made out of the railing from the source image. Hope this helps a bit
Agrees with CMYK. Really CBR'd, even after you changed it.
Remember, the point of the source image contest is to keep it recognizable at least to a point that we don't have to go to the SBS to see it.
nice ...............
gl on this
Yep, when you don't see the sbs, it's difficult to believe the image was made from source... but it's really nice and creative! GL...
