Since the kettle is on a stove maybe you could use the interior of a kitchen? Or maybe put the kettle over a fire and use a cave for the background.

Very original concept, but there needs to be a slight bit of reflection on the chess board from the bottle, to match the reflection of the chess pieces.
Also, the top of the bottle looks very flat, with no curvature or depth. You need to have the "shoulders" of the bottle show light refraction like the cork at the top.
We should see some cork through the bottle neck. Not that you had to, but I'm wondering why you didn't use the glass stopper from the source pic. GL author.

this is really neat, but two suggestions: one, in high resolution you can see that the edges are really jagged--just soften the edges some. two, his left hand (the one we see on the right) needs to be fixed.

bjaockx. that's why I added the GLOW.. hehehe.. it was the only frippin angle that fit in it's hand and look like he's pointing at the genie (I set the bottle to the angle with the eyes like they were looking at the Genie in the Sky) (BTW Great to see you BACK!!! can't wait to see your work again :}
