The snapping turtle is from my own photo files, and yes it was not only that big, it was bigger. The main course was provided by "plom" via sxc.hu. (5 years and 3770 days ago)
- 1: Frog
Our hero Winsor glorifies high in the sky in his Splutfire vehicle. Together with his companion Balthazar the Bear they seem to be undefeated. But what is that out there, as a flash light in a clear sky? It's the evil Duke McBastard who, sneaky as he always is, suddenly appeared with a cowardly attack. Will our friends survive this breathtaking adventure?!
Only source and handdrawing used for this entry. I had a quick view on wikipedia how a plane would look like, but in the end the design is all by myself. See SBS for further info. In the same SBS you can also see some added steps from parts that I changed (compared to the first image).
High Resolution version is very recommended.

Even I remember this one!! Glad it made it back..
Wow is the first word i used after seeing the image. Keep it up!. The texture for the glider can be still adjested on its curves and shadows to get the light rusty metal effects. graffiti on the body is a gud idea and adds more value to the glider. Gud one. Very all the best.

hmm what an entry high marks from my side...want to see it on top best of luck..
Awesome!
Awesome job on the image and how you created it.
hope this gets top 3 or 1st... (yes 1st is top 3, but its not 3rd...)
All I can say is wow! Awesome! Was this in a different contest before or do you make the character Winsor and use him in lots of different images?
awesome work as always
ZE ENTRY is back! the only thing i can complain about is that the green is a bit strong and takes the eyes from winsor and balthazar... otherwise this entry is AWESOME!
Unmistakable style, another first place.
I haven't seen this one on the old pxl, so I'm "first-time-excited" Author, the image is TERRIFIC!! (read that in the good meaning )
Great dynamic story behind it, packed with details, the image can keep viewer's interest for quite some time
Amazing work. Glad to see it back
Great work.
roflmao! This is superb!
Awesome
Congratulations for 1st, great pic.
Thank you all very much for your kind comments and votes. Very much appreciated!
@fille: The rival's first name is Ken, aka the (ex?) hubby from Barbie. As you understand, real beauty is from the inside out
@Maja: Just when Winsor is finally managing to keep the plane under control and about to organize a contra attack, the teacher asks him why on earth he's standing on the table in the class making so much noise
@k5683: Nope, Winsor is all and alone for this entry. For who wants to know, I chose the name Winsor after Winsor McCay, the great illustrator and animation pioneer from the begin 20th century
Again, thanks a lot!
Congraaaaaaaaaaaaaatulation!
deserved win! ...again
Go Winsor go... Congrats Waz, absolutely fantastic
congrats!
Congrats! - Awesome work

cool
Hmm.. interesting.
love the eyes lol try drawing some very fine hairs around the cat to make it look a bit better, but other than that Excellent work!
nice job
Thats really funny. Great work. You might want to play with the colors of the cat a tiny bit and add some yellow (not much). Theres a lot of ambient yellow and orange light, so that will make it feel a little more together. Use selective color and pay most attention to the whites since they most directly reflect the ambient light of the room.
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww cute kitty!
cute
aha what a comical thought... i'd be feeling sick if i was that cat and i was gonna have to eat through all that jelly to get to the fish...

a smaller version of that big "old" truck:)comments are very welcomed
edit: fixed rear wheel; hope it is better (5 years and 3843 days ago)
the funny thing is.. I was going to tell you that you built it backwards until I saw your SBS.. what a weird little car.. hehehe.. good LUCK.. great skills and work
car is good, road need to improve
you have a nice perspective here...and great car...
very nice, but perspective is a ltlle bit off, rear wheel don't match front one, also something wrong is with back of the car, but I don't know what.... Maybe when you fix rear wheel everything will be ok Once again, great job!
great!!
like it!! like it!!
Don't know why you used the red & white parts for the seat, it's distracting and throws off the interior perspective. Boogeyman's right about fixing the rear wheel. The rest is very well done.
that is to cute. nice image author
cute little car )) I don't seem to get the shape of the shadow?
nice job
love it !!!!
Construction of the car is very nice...... background is a little distracting
verty good
Car looks good yes. I dont get exactly the critic for the wheels (although I also wrote that you fixed the rear wheel), as far as I can see it's just like as in your own image. But ok...What this image could give more dynamic is the use of background. The use of colors is one, but right now they're *just* diagonal, while if you'd give it some more perspective, following the perspective from the car itself, the whole image might look more logic for the eye and as said before even more dynamic.
EDIT: forgot to say Good luck!
Very creative use of source.
Excellent! Wonderfull! Well done! !!
Congrats, nice work
Congratulations for 1st, nice one
Congrats!
congrats well deserved win
Congratulations.
Congrats! Great transformation!
Congrats!

I think your shadow is a bit long, but you have done a great job on the water around the frog! Looks like its lunchtime! GL.
I think you're right, annimax. I'm shortening it now. Thanks.
Edit:Yes, and the turtle as well.
Edit II : Thanks IDt8er, I added a subtle set of ripples to the turtle. I didn't want to get carried away, though, because the water speed should be slower over the main body of water than the thin layer running over the spillway.
Looking good!!
Great job! xD
The ripples around the frog are amazing! Can you do it again with the turtle? His head would cause ripples in the flowing water, too.
cool pic!
good job! gl!
nice blending work!
I think I took too long to do the voting and it logged me out; now my comment is as a guest.
