I created this epic view from several pictures of temples and ruins! Lots of digital painting, shading, and coloring to get it all to blend together.
Thanks to Tasastock and RaeyenIrael-Stock for the image of the girls. (permission is in the SBS) (5 years and 2879 days ago)
Nice mood ! This is an eye catching image !!
GL
Yes, very nicely done, like to see a tutorial for this one
Great image
The perspective on two of the bigger temples on the right are off though, might be able to fix that by rotating and or skewing it. Otherwise: good mood, great color combinations, I like the framing in the rocks... a classic epic game scene
Wonderful!

Its a statued building like liberty statue. (5 years and 2890 days ago)
The statue of Liberty is not a building nor is the Washington Monument even though both have stairs and an observation platform neither one is classified as a building. Your Guitar is too small for people to enter in any case. It's more like a statue and not an example of roadside architecture.
But its inside a building dont you think? Thats why i call it ancient its old and just a few of rocks left from the original one. Anything that you can be inside is a building, anyway i going to change the guitar . But i keep my point of view.
Well now you've completely changed the image. Just to help you understand, the guitar being inside a building doesn't make it a building. You could have made a larger guitar big enough for people to go inside with doors and windows and that would have been a building.
Thanks now i get the point of the contest, im working on a giant guitar now xD

This piece of art is my dedication to the nature itself because I love forest and mystical creatures.
Techniques I’ve been used is a matte painting inside Adobe Photoshop. Lots of chops from the source image as well as textures to cover the Ancient Protector’s body. External images are my own (snapshots of my buddy) to pose the human characters. Brushing and airbrushing are required to grow vines and summon the Ancient Protector with the rules of third and golden mean composition (I almost forgot to apply those rules since I’m working as a character and creature artist rather than environment or cinematic), after that; I made touch ups in Adobe After Effects as a post-production stage and finally end up in Adobe Lightroom to enhance details and sharpens the final artwork.
Hope you like my creation; I had a lot of fun to complete this artworks. Thanks for viewing and have a great time!
Oh yeah... Will that wandering boy find this formidable creature as a friend or foe?

Fantastic stuff author.... and extra points for the excellent sbs..... good luck
Thanks for your consideration to look after my SBS, friend. And your kindness to fave it.
Have a great time!
°____°
this is definately one of my faves for this contest, original author, well done
Would be better if you made monster a little brighter so it pops out a little more. Looks like a scene from a movie too
Thanks for the comments, Keiley22 and Kid. Appreciated so much!
Kid, if I made the monster a little brighter, yes it can pops up but in my humbly opinion; I tried so hard to make it merged into the environment so it doesn't look so fake. Because it's a painting inside a photo real. = )
But once again, thanks for your considerations to look after my creation and I suggest to check the WIP section too. I tried to explain everything there. Have a great time all.
Congrats!!
this is still a rare piece... congrats

From Wiki: "Gentlemen began to wear the top hat at the end of the 18th century... and developed from a fashion into a symbol of urban respectability... The top hat is sometimes associated with the upper class, becoming a target for satirists and social critics. It was particularly used as a symbol of capitalism in cartoons in socialist and communist media, long after the headgear had been abandoned by those satirized. It was a part of the dress of Uncle Sam and used as a symbol of U.S. monopoly power. The character Rich Uncle Pennybags, who personifies financial monopoly in the board game Monopoly, wears a top hat."
Here we see a descendant of Rich Uncle Pennybags. Keeping the memory of his dear departed wife, Penelope Pennybags, in his heart, Milburn Pennybags has spent all his "pennies" on the finest transportation of the day in search of his own fortune - which turns out to be just a mirage. Like discovering that the real Wizard of Oz was just an ordinary man playing with illusions, ol' Pennybags finds the top hat is just a mechanical device of an ancient civilization, supposedly used to control the minds of the populace, and left to decay in the sands of a distant land. Oddly, Milburn's adventure is also an illusion, just a figment of his imagination. (5 years and 2924 days ago)
the top hat... the black and white dots all over it. either you placed a dissolve blending layer to it (never do this) or you rendered a noise layer (do this) if you did the dissolve blending layer, then remove it and make a selection of the hat and render a noise to a new layer. With this new noise layer, use a Gaussian blur on it to match the blur of the hat. Use the "Opacity" slider for the noise layer and reduce the opacity to about 75%. Try a few different blending layer options to it... most likely "Overlay" or "Multiply" will yield the most desirable results... good luck!
It is noise, bjaockx, and was tweaking it when I saw your comment, had tried levels but that really didn't work. Your suggestion of blur and overlay has worked the best, thanks very much! Was going for the 'beam me up' effect, I think this is better.
I like it, cool peace of work. That hat and gears look purdy good to me.
