You should check a few tutorials online about how to do this. Here's an example, but you can find better: http://www.rnel.net/tutorial/Photoshop/13207 . Another tip: desaturation filter.

I had this deleted because of a premanipulated hand picture I put a new one in and she's back!
When blind dates go bad! I was going to take her to a nice italian restaurant and she flipped out pulled a gun made me take her to Jack in the Box and then ooohhhh I can't even talk about what else she made me do... I hadn't been on a date in awhile.. soo.. welll... heck I kinda liked it!? :op

this is so funny, great use of source! I'd lighten the hand, so it is in color about like her right side of the face (the sunny side). The gun matches the overall light of the image, but the hand doesn't. The light on the hand comes from the other side.
