I didn't enter this contest because it seemed like such a boring subject to me. But damn did the artists do some fantastic work! This one really amazed me and was (I think) the highest rated chop I ever voted on. It's amazing what this program can do, and it's amazing what you (yes you author) have created.

I am especially taken with your notes which really help out newbies to photoshop. I love everything about your work but I did not warm up to the coloured in aspect...but that is a truly subjective opinion on my part. Your work is always over the top perfect.

I think it's a typo, or I was high chewing magic mushrooms. I meant the red berries in her hair or rather red berries in general that's all. See, Sylvie, BMW and I all think your work is wonderful...and three of us cannot be wrong.

Great turn into fog, maybe some progressive increase of fog on the down-right side would make it more realistic, the edges of the fog are too filled. Just my opinion. Good luck author

Good work, author, nice and moody now with emphasis on the berries.

The color depth is beautiful, but the image is terribly fuzzy looking. The quality of your starting photo definitely affects your results...Maybe if you sharpen it slightly before indexing the colors?

Thanks mossy I posted this as i really liked the colour depth too. I was aware the original image was fuzzy but didn't want to sharpen as one of the instruction in this competition was no other modifications could be made. As such thought sharpening this image maybe be against the guidelines this was my understanding anyway may have got the wrong end of the stick.

Interesting, but it says neither "night" nor "aurora" to me...

Looks too liquified, and the sky is too bright, even for a "design."

Thanks, CMYK, have darkened the sky . I was fortunate enough to view an aurora some years ago. At 2:00 in the morning, the sky was full of light, and it seemed that colors were flowing through a hole in the sky. It wasn't like night at all - was so beautiful.

Love the creativity and your ability to create birds from something incredibly liquified. I always have a tough time controlling the shape to do what I want when I liquify like this. Great job, author!

You certainly went to a LOT of effort to create the final image! 10 out of 10 for effort! (I think I would have just done "plastic wrap" - horror of horrors!)

now that I think about it, probably would have worked but would have had too much shine to it as I wanted more of a "frosted" look. oh well learned something so thats always a plus in my book!

Use a background...add something to the image...anything, it's a bit too simple now.

Background as suggested by Giulia - could be the inside of a freezer - or the arctic?
