That face adds a lot of personality! I like that you colored the tattoo. I think the bird could stand out a bit more, however -- maybe move it in front of the white portion of the barn roof or make it bluer.

It's a nice idea!
Just one thing: bird's face needs some burn/highlight to give it convexity; the way it is now it seems concave...

I can barely see the birds face. The only reason I knew it was a bird was because of the title and the wings. Try to add some shadows and highlights to make the bird pop more. gl
