Nice job. You might need to fix a couple of the minor details to take this to the next level though, sush as removing the straight lines in the floorboards after the vortex/swirl has started. A good chop though.

CMYK, I did that, but could see no difference at all? I haven't put any blue in at all. This is not as straighforward as it seems. Lots of entries are being critised for a variety of things I'm sure none of them are guilty of!

Now I'm just waiting for shankarsadamate229 to ask me: "Is this pure black"..........

Author, if you convert to CMYK and click off the blue channel, you'll see a DRAMATIC difference! (And a much better image, BTW).
I'm assuming you know the Cyan channel shows the blues. Forget photoshop, just looking at this image can tell you there's a lot of blue there.

At last! I think I've got rid of the blue? (Which I didn't think was there in the first place) Silly me!

After looking at it again I would say it's still red, but you might see what I mean by comparing thumbnails, to the other entries. Just a tint of violet, but still red. It does make it stand out against the rest so GL!

That would kinda defeat the purpose of trying to make it look like a photograph. Do all people just "stand out" in photos? Just sayin'...

I understand what you are saying author, and I don't understand why there are - points on what you said, but I also understand CMYK because if the girl stands out you can see the source better. But if you are wanting to make it look like a realistic photograph, then you did pretty well I would add a little more shadows to the body then because she does look pasted into the photograph.

Welcome aboard. It´s well done, but I think you have to delete the "yingyang" shape. And you need to post a sbs (step-by-step-guide) read faq, rules and guidelines. Otherwise the will remove you entry. Hope to see more of your work here. GL on this one!

Kind of cool. I think CMYK46 is too restrained in his comment; the image's message would seem to suggest that the whole of "Black & White" should be a rainbow or something. In any event, the 'C' needs to cast a shadow on the '&.' And the totality raises the issue as to whether an entry needs to be legible absent the title (which this is not).
