Using that silvery shiny surface game the idea of creating this imaginary bird. No other sources were used in its making, just the image provided by pxleyes for the contest....everything is PS (5 years and 3783 days ago)
where's the source?
I thought a blue cow must have a boyfriend (5 years and 3783 days ago)
where's the source?
Ummm... I was thinking that too... Or perhaps submit it in the demon animal contest, by adding a few more edit... This bull looks menacing enough lol...
No sign of the source pic here...
Donde esta la foto original? Es interesante, pero necesitas hacer eso claro, porque si no gente no va a parar de preguntarte eso. Buena Suerte!
dunno wheres the source spanish?? PONTI??
Donald Estrada Lay a PHOTO On the ORIGINAL Pregnant Parkay See Margerine?.. dern it..what the cheese?.. no source.. will be pulled (JUST FUNNING YOU PONTI) giggle snort
Excellent fix author.. Now I can give you a much higher score !!!!
I don’t know what is happening; I can see the source next to your cements in the thumb view, and next to the guide in the full view. Can anyone help me? The guide also has the source in step 1.
i like this a lot... it has this power that is comming out of the screen... very nice colours used...
No te entiendo, cual es el problema? Habias usado la fuente en tu imagen? Perdon, estoy usando un teclado ingles entonces to tengo tildes o acentos.
Haha GolemAura - close enough xD
Besides the no source I think you really went overboard on the filters, eventhough it's not a reason to get your image pulled you won't get high scores using just filters... try to put some of your creativity in it
The source (in this case) is the image on top of the contestpage, the statue of the blue cow. You'll need to use that image in your entry in some way, not inspired on, not as a reference but it needs to be in the image you create.
Think you confuse 'source' with the images you used, yep they are sources too but the blue cow on top HAS to be one of your sources in your image.
author, what there refering to is the source image you were suppost to photoshop, not the image you did photoshop. this contest is to work with the image on the top of the page , not just select any picture nice work thoe
Sorry guys, it was my fall; I just didn’t like the final result that was why source image wasn’t there. Here it is anyway. Sorry again it will not happen again
Mejor, pero pienso que el estilo que usaste con el toro lo deberias usar con la fuente - (Much better, but the style you used with the bull should also be used with the source.) Buena Suerte!!
Thanks ponti55, I guess they now have something…
This is much better now.... good work
Mucho mejor. Me gusta arto ahora.
Glad you added the cow. I like the blue "shadows." It looks like their footsteps are causing the ground to turn blue rather than casting shadows. That's cool.

All sources original, Fun tutorial, Thanks! (5 years and 3785 days ago)
Very nice, but the two people on the right are very pixelated, but the rest really looks great.
Ponti look the high res because deep colors like blue and red "pixelate" in low res. Great image (again) I like it

When I was young, I always wondered what a Holy Cow looked like. (5 years and 3787 days ago)
Very funny idea, i think it's a bit simple though.. maybe, really make it obvious he's holy, put it in a magical place, give it wings and a bunch of people bowing down, but just a halo is a little simple. Good luck!!
i'm gonna have to agree with ponti this time
I wanted it to be simple and easy on the eyes, it seems like everyone likes putting animals in magical places.I want people to notice things like the holes in the shadow or anything in this simplistic image that makes it great!
holy cow's got holes LOLOL
I'd like to change background with something other so holes stand out from image. IMO holes should not be visible in shadow as light is coming from left.
Try using a displacement map on the holes, that way they'll look more natural. If you pentool the cow and duplicate that layer several times with some nudge on each layer (when done merge those underlying layers and blur them) you'll get a better idea off depth. Just some pointers
thnx!
The shadow isn't so godlike...
Glad you remembered to put holes in the shadow. I double checked because I was wondering!
lol, funny one. the shadow is not perfect, but only for a very formed eye good job!

Wow! Great use of source! I love entries like these!! Good luck
great entry! i love this image its very cool!
I think we have a winner !!!! ...grate job author
Wonderful creation I love the bird and I know it was hard work, but I had to look at your sbs to see where you put the source to use. Other than that wonderful image.
Thank you for comments, yes, it was a hard time to get the bird all together.
Very nice work.
this is what i call true art... very nice...
very artistic. love the blue hues and lighting in this creation. well done
my problem is: could you have made this with ANY other source? I think the answer is yes and therefor the use of the source is weak. If you've set the brush to scatter there wouldn't be that repetative pattern in the leaves. In other words: not my piece of cake
Sorry...
well done
Thanks for comments again.... Robvdn don't be sorry.... it is the way it is, the source image does not have many objects to work with. Could I have done this work using other sources? Yes! I could. But the main thing here is that I used the image source in part. As many of us do. I just got this idea, we are here to learn, to appreciate constructive and non-constructive commnents and suggestions.... It is like Art, some like Picasso...some don't.... I am happy with what I have done here at the contests, and again, thank all of you for critics and comments. Good luck to everyone!!!!
Author let me be clear: I wasn't judging your image, just the use of source. You are right about we're here to learn and we all have different tasts. If something like this would have been posted in a theme contest you would have gotten a complete different comment by me Just my personal view, hope you're not offended. Didn't mean to.
I like the way u made the tree :P really nice
Although the image is well done, I believe the use of source is very poor. This could have been made with anything and the source is not recognizable in any way. These type of entries belong in theme contests, not source contests.
Excellent! i love this one
Comments appreciated. Robvdn: Not offended at all. I just accept your comment. Solkee, I will pay attention to Theme contests in the future, you are right, I should have used more of the image source, although I did not have much to choose from it!
very nice
love the entry and the result but you could of done this with any source as far as i thought the original source needs to be vissible... its not in my opinion..
Congratulations on the top-three place!
Congrats for your second place, George!
Thank you Cornelia, Lelaina. It was a nice challenge and good entries all!
