just a quick tip, to make things look more realistic, pay close attention to the light source. Try rotating the objects around and see how it affects the image
Cut out glazed meat, corn and bread and placed on plate adding drop shadows. (5 years and 3704 days ago)

good
Are you one of those people that doesn't like your food touching each other on your plate? It would be more appetizing with everything just drenched in that glaze sauce! The plate's too dry.
I didn't realize it but yes I am one of those people who don't like my food touching. :P

brown bread = dead
tried to be light hearted about a serious matter i.e someone being dead. Hope I haven't offended! (5 years and 3819 days ago)
excellent! AND funny
good work
grat job!
I like this a lot! Very well put together... great job! Good luck!
Just watch the angle of the shadow from the loaf of bread. The line should have the same point of origin as the rest. Very Funny!!
Cute and well done! But why is the police tape not causing a shadow in the light path?
@ pixelkid. Thanks for your comments but I'm pretty sure that there should be no shadow from the police tape on the ground because the light source is coming from the right, not from above. The shadow would be cast out of sight of this frame.
great job
great
superb idea very nicely executed!!
cool!
HAHA...great!

Decided to use the bread from one of the other contests to create devangel. The hair is made out of various feather brushes. The eyeball is from a photo I took myself (included). Enjoy! (5 years and 3820 days ago)
She's has incredible ART HANDS.. (used to be an old wives tale that people with long elegant hands are born artists) how apropos.. very inventive idea author.. good luck
good work
nice
is it really allowed to use photos from another contest?
LOL! yes, it is geloid. Your just not allowed to give them a sourcelink if you dont want to earn a red flag. I did this expirience once, but nobody said anything against using the other contests image. To the author: a shame that you didnt add a humor-votingbar!
omg looks like she's got smallpox... Although good job at giving the bread a human face!!
very nice
hahaha.... it's me!! nice author

I used parts of the source image to reconstruct the two characters based on the initial dolls image presented as source number 1.
I added shadows/highlights using different grey brushes and I colored some parts of the two characters.
I have created the moon and the land out of the top bread in the source image.
Added the sky in the backround, some trees silhouettes on the sides and birds.
In order to get better coloring I added a lot of different gradient adjustment layers, changed the blending mode to color and played with opacities.
Hope you like it! (5 years and 3821 days ago)
OOHHH very Tim Burton.. Looking at the hi res you have a slight halo effect on the edges especially in darker areas of the background. Nice work.
very nice creation. only some lighting issues(light source is from back side- shadow shows the direction of light) but some light is falling on the face also. Instead of highlight use midtones only in the face. GL
great!!
Really good, nice one.
Amazing piece of artwork! Highest marks from me!!!
Great work,i'd like to see a SBS!
Cool very nice idea and well done!
this is just cool. I love this style just blend a little more. fav from me!
Thank you very much for your excellent comments! I will post the SBS tomorrow as I really have to run to work now! Thank you "gopankarichal" for the good remark. Still....I believe some light would drop on their faces as well...! I kind of like the shadowing I've reached! Will think about it...! Have fun you all!
this also reminds me of "Not Without My Handbag".. Author you should check it out.. one of the Great lines is My Auntie is a Zombie From Hell.. LOL.. good luck with this.. wonderful image
EDIT: ACK.. SUPER HIGH MARKS.. forgot to say that
Love it, but a recent entry of mine was removed for being based on someone elses art work.... GL
Very very creative
not without my handbag, that is what it reminded me of! this is great piece. congrats, author!
Girl's hair shouldn't have a drop shadow...otherwise this is great!
Great work author. Very nice colors
Very well done. I especially like the time and attention that was paid to the little boy in the picture. The only change would make would be to extend the "grass" a bit so you didn't have that black gap on the left edge of the picture. Other than that, it's amazing.
Love this! Creepy and perfect!
Brilliant!!!!
Impressive work Author......G/L.
very nice -- looks very Burton like
Very good, I not sure about the black glow around the girls head and the strangly pin sharp birds in the background when everything else is soft focus. If the figures are casting such strong shadows their faces would be almost black
The girl also needs anchoring to the ground she seems to be floating, IMHO
Very nice entry, really like the little guys
great imagination and lights
great art work , fantastic work artist.
Very creepy, unsettling, and Tim-Burton-like. I like the strong light and shadow contrast on the figures, but the light and shadows of the background don't match that well. In hi-res the girl's dress seems to cast a shadow on the painted backdrop when I would like this to be a 3-D environment. A side light appears to be illuminating the figures yet their ground shadows are from a back light which is consistent with the background. I would shift the ground shadows and tone down the background to give the impression it's illuminated by the same side light shining on the figures.
This is great and I plan to study your SBS to learn from it. For those who want the faces to be dark, they could easily be getting reflected light on their faces.
Brilliant scene & work very creative!!
better now.. adding to my "Fav" list. GL author
I made some changes based on everybody's opinion. I'm very grateful to all of you who helped this image get better! I hope you like it more now!
