Daddy bug and mummy bug go on an excursion with Junior. They want to reach the lovely manuka fields in order to have a great meal.
Edit:
- changed size of birds
- added shadow to sign and plant
- added some grass
- roughened the surface
- changed the sky (5 years and 3062 days ago)
1) add 'lighting' effects for the bugs based on the sun position
2) fade the bugs shadow near the bottom of the picture
3) add plant n signage shadows
4) add a gradual tone for the sky
5) make the sizes of the birds different to indicate distance
6) make the ground a little ruggard, now too 'smooth' and straight
nice concept
Thanks for your suggestions aheman!
I tried to implement at least a few. I am not sure if adding the grass was a good idea.
Very cute, author. The bugs' construction reminds me of the old Cootie Bug toys.

Thanks pearlie. That's true, I had the German version of those toys. They looked a little bit different but the main principle was the same.

this is so cool made me smile
This is cool but reminds me of more of a bunny suit than real life....great job author.... It would be hard to turn bugs into real life...
Soften some edges, especially on the ears...otherwise, good work!
Maybe as woodztockr says it's not easy to make Bugs real, but I think you used pretty good sources to achieve this. I'd make the fur a little bit more fluffy maybe (mostly the white-ish parts) so it become more like real fur instead of a drawn outline from the cartoon. Good luck!
Thanks to all for your nitpicks. I have added fur to bunny.
Very good and well done....
nice one, good luck author !
Great work ... love the way you put it all together ... one would never know it came from all those different sources!
welldone author.
How about adding some fur (smudging) on feet and belly?

How creative! The rose bugs look mighty dangerous to me. I also like how you have included the original rose in your art piece. Very nice.
Cool idea only the sky needs a little work looks a bit uniform.
This should point you in the right direction

I remember that fun little pac man game. Your pac bug is very cute. You did a good job of making the balls.
Suggested improvements..... The cloning of the grass and wall areas need some attention because it is too obvious. Good cloning should be almost invisible.
That area where you cut the wall back looks like you cloned from the left wall. I suggest you clone from the right wall of the source image because the cloned lines still need to be vertical not diagonal.
WAKA WAKA WAKA WAKA WAKA WAKA WAKA WAKA.... BOINK! BOINK!
