If you mean the lower left of the castle, that's the bird brushs and how can we see their head from that distance?

Very clever use of the source indeed, colors and composition are strong, suggestion for improvements. shadow should be darker with this amount of light, the two front legs look to be floating a bit and not touching the leaf, back legs look awkward would expect these to touch the leaf as well. Overall nice work.

Looks like a vampire in daylight, which I believe would be disintegrating him...

I love all the vampire subtlety, but CMYK46 raises an interesting point. Changing the lighting to dusk or later could be more compelling.

I tried different things to make it darker , after all, I like this the most. And you have to know, older vampires can stand the light.

Reminds me of Sam Neil in Day breakers. The first thing that came to mind.
