Many thanks to tatlici of sxc.hu for the snowman image. Also thanks to baddude of sxc.hu for the car and scenary image!!! (5 years and 3740 days ago)
Overall really nice source selection. Really like how you kept the part of the car in the reflection.
Very nice. But the snowman doesn't fit completely. I don't know exactly what it is. Or the shadows or it misses some motion (like the road)
very nice, well done!
Very nice image... I think the snow man looks good if you are looking at it while driving, but if the concept is to look in the mirror the snowman should be blurred. I think that is what Marcia saw looking back and forth from snowman to mirror to snowman.... You can't see 2 things clearly at the same time.. Great entry and g/l
Great idea, and well executed.. maybe suggest the sky on your background image with the one form the source, to help it look like it matches. And also if you look closely there's a slight blue color cast. I suggest opening the source image in photoshop and duplicating it, then going to Filter -> Blur -> Average. This gives you the overall colour of your image, then just copy that into your finished image and set the mode to colour or soft light and play around with the opacity. But like i said, great idea, and a very convincing image.
The snowman needs dome dynamic to create the moviment feeling. Nice work.
I agree about the snowman but my question is about the lanes....in the reflection it is just a two lane road...in the rest of the picture, it is like a highway with a median in the middle--so it kinda doesn't match
Thanks all for your comments and criticisms. I've added a blur to the snowman, changed the sky colour, and removed the other lane from the image outside of the mirror. (although I thought that it was a path and not a car lane). Anyways, I removed it just in case and to avoid confusion
you did a great job fixing stuff, but what happened to the snow on the trees---it's gone now?
Thanks K5683!!! I completely missed that one. I forgot to unhide my layers before saving the file.
Good idea....source fits in perfect
Congrats for your second place!

Fun change of pace. It would be really, really cool if you could somehow change the reflection on the car to be that of the surrounding.
Nice addition for sure.
Something totally different! And a funny idea. Well... ok, probably not for the owner of the car, but ok Good luck!
I love this - nice thinking , I agree the reflection gives it away, but you made me smile widely. Nice change
Thanks for the great tips and comments everyone

I love this contest. I always hoped to get a next generation of the duck. It sounds stupid but I love those cars.
So I took my chance and tryed to make a modern version of this car. (5 years and 3756 days ago)

I love lamborghini! good job!
zoom zoom zoom.. awesome work
Nice job in rebuilding the car! Maybe you could try to work a little on the front lights. Right now they don't look like they belong to that car. Maybe a little dodge and burn could help, but I'm not sure. Good luck!
Great reconstruction
Gorgeous work, Author, do you offer a driver together with the car because I can't drive LOL!
