Aww, poor baby! Nice effect. Love how you colored the eyes - he totally looks like he's scheming something...

The edges of the beaver tail are a bit too hard, and the fur looks strange suddenly stopping at those hard edges. You might slightly "fluff" the edges with a brush and the smudge tool, but at the very least, slightly go over them with the blur tool at a low setting to help them blend better with the background.

It had a LOT of color adjustment, cloning, and painting, with a bit of "sketch" layers added for detail. About 40-50 layers, all said and done.

It's meant to be somewhat "impressionist..."

Not bad, buggy seems to be missing a handle knob judging by the angle.

Actually, it's a side view of a handle that runs horizontally. There is also the slightest bit of a vertical along the left edge of the buggy basket. If you check the source photo (#1 in the list), you'll see that it's the angle of the photo.

I really like the impressionist feel, it adds to the surreal atmosphere! Very good choice of animals, love the fish!

But IMHO there's room for improvement... the stripes on the cat can be blended nicer (edges are to harsh) and a lack of a decent background which can be solved by a very blurred forest source or something like that. In short... I really really do like the head (don't even try to touch it anymore, it is perfect the way it is now. If you do: I have my ways to find you author ) but you can give the rest of the image some more attention.
Sorry if I sound harsh, that's not the way I intended it, trying to offer critique to improve this entry.

Ummm...now you've lost all major reference to the tilted bulb contest source...Just having it as the bright spots on the flowers is a minimal use at best, making this a nice CBR, but a bit of a topic stretch...But it'll probably still win, because too many voters couldn't care less about the amount of contest source when compared to the "wow" factor.
