It does look more like glass then chrome but I don't think that takes away from the entry.. I wouldn't change it for fear of destroying such a great creations.. very good luck on this

EDIT: MUCH MORE CHROMY (hate saying that it sounds like crummy LOL).. It has a much less water feel and more metallic.. it's amazing in either form (I'd definitely keep the first version and write a more detailed tutorial for it and place it in the tutorial section of this site, who knows.. you could make some GREEN $$$$).. very excellent ..still an awesome image)

Very cool, but it does look more like glass than chrome. I share Jim's confusion; maybe if only the arm and hand were chrome and the guy's head stayed natural. I would expect the photographer's reflection to be stronger if the hand were chrome. Similarly, all the white portions in the hand seem like they're just the bright background passing through glass. I would expect the reflection of the room's interior to be more off-white/beige.

Edit: Made the glass *cough cough* i mean chrome hand darker and made the reflection of the girl less transparent... Also removed chrome from the man's head as it seems confusing... Does it looks bad or better than the previous one???

Edit: Thnx Aura... I do have the previous version( a habit of mine to save different version of the same file)... I did like the liquid metal( mercury) look of the first one...

The light looks like it's inside the chrome grapes themselves and radiating outward, which does not compute. Cool, but not chrome which only reflects its exterior. (Source link does not work.)

I don't mean to make sour grapes but this is just a negative of a photo! Not really much work. Just bring the image into photoshop and invert.

While not specific to the artwork - i dont get how the front forks attach to the wheel? Doesnt look like it would work to me?? About the image, if your light source is what we are seeing then the shadow is on the wrong side? But I see a wall maybe? and a reflection? If thats the case might shadows be coming forward too?? While on the shadow - it needs to be pushed further back I think?I can see the shadow under the wheels...

Really nice work, I know nothing about motorbikes or 3D programs either I really like how you showed your 3D bike from different angles in your sbs, and I would love it if could add a little bit of explanation to your sbs, that would really help us people who have never used 3D programs to understand a bit more ... (please )

Animmax, I used a C-plane, normal for studio effects. To be on theme added reflexive material, see new step 17. Agree with front fork attach, need work. Madamemonty, usually I explain in SBS a part of 3D work made for every entry but peoples are not very interested and I was a little disappointed. For me is a great pleasure to explain what is work with 3ds Max, maybe I'll make a topic on Forum. For the moment something very, very schematic on steps 18-21.

yep, a pretty good tutorial. i had the cherry idea before i saw that though. AND he already had the chromed ball (or whatever that is) as a source so i had to change that
