ONLY SOURCE & PHOTOSHOP
Thanks to stickysen for reference picture
http://www.sxc.hu/photo/908027
May be someone complain about minimal usage of source, but it was my old entry. Each feather was on its own layer, after construction of parts, I merge these layers to reduce psd file size, see sbs for layer view. In this version I have put him on painted grass and also changed background. (5 years and 3902 days ago)
Impressive.
lol @ Nator! This is very good. Great idea & use of source.
Smacking Nator for the Double entendre, you shouldn't make fun of other peoples .. oh I'm not going to go there.. giggle snort.. good job author.. alot of work here
Maybe do something with the render clouds?? They are a little dated.. Well put together for the rooster. The tail is a bit blurred though? Not sure about the leg too? It sort of doesnt look joined?? GL
Thanks animmax, I am working to fix issue mentioned by you. Also thanks for title suggesstion
EDIT : updated
great looks real
....only source !!!.....AWESOME.......
Pretty nice. If possible, I'd make the rooster's tail a bit less flat in the edges. If you add some shades here and there and make them a bit less cut out (or in fact, do the same again as what you did with the wing), it could look even better. You wouldnt like to use the source background as air? With some color tweaking it could fit perfectly! Good luck!
Thanks wazowski, added shadow and replace background with source background.
good work author GL
How did you get a Rooster out of a bottle on the beach? It's awesome.
good work
I think this is a great image. I would try to lap some grass over those clumps of grass that seem to be floating though(like the left rear).
Edit: Better author High score from me.
pingenvy thanks for comment. More grass added

it s a nice image.you can work a little more on the eye, and use burn and dodge tool to add some shadows and highlights on rooster
)gl
I would just show the rooster. The source image doesn't seem to fit.
That's a tiny cock - but size doesn't matter apparently - lovely job author!
very nice
Sweet!
beautiful work. a little on the cottage country art style. just a personal feedback. to make a shadow you could make a brush from your creation and duplicate your image with brush using a matching dark shade. Then add a touch of FILTER> BLUR > G. BLUR. this is just another way instead of using drop shadow. Feel free to message me if you like this idea and want to know how to make brush. I am happy to help GL
