is the source the elephant or the fish as the fish looks very similar to an entry in that contest?

Nysoe says:

Keiley22 look at the SBS and you got your answer

the ring around the moon in made with the twirl tool, add noise and with free transform tool scaled it down. The image on the left corner is made with a brush and zig zagged it. (5 years and 3116 days ago)

very nice scene, love usage redish color for the overall mood...everything looks very good, planets and the pyramids...thing is the top left corner create some kind of distraction...i think all image would look better without it...best of luck author

author says:

thx for ur comment erathion, i made the left corner a bit smaller it was indeed a bit of a distraction, i made it there because it looked a bit dark in that corner

Bright Ideas - created by Mad

Bright Ideas

I've always thought that ideas were like eggs waiting to hatch (or in this case, to be cooked up into something delicious.)

*Edit: Due to more than one person's feedback on the same thing, I've decreased the DOP in the background and further tweaked it a wee bit. (5 years and 3231 days ago)

Great job

cool idea...gl

author says:

I appreciate your feedback Drivenslush but my intention was to suggest that besides the main carton that you obviously see, there are more cartonfuls of bright ideas also coming along. I too liked the closed box myself but chose to blur it so that your attention would come back to the open carton in the foreground. Thanks!

I like the idea and the way you've done it. I do feel that the closed carton could be a little less blured... but is great anyway!
Good luck !!

Too dark for all those lit light bulbs. The light doesn't even extend past the carton...

author says:

For the sake of this picture Mossy B, I think we can obviously assume that these are low wattage bulbs which neither generate much heat nor light, much like your average christmas tree lights. I 've Googled this just to be sure, and their illuminating the environmnet as far as the carton would be just about right

Nice image to work with. I only used masks, adjustment layers and filtres. No colours apart from the gradient. (5 years and 3724 days ago)

nice It's a lot of work doing windows....Lot of time

author says:

Not at all, Chuck... All the colouring was done by layer adjustments after paint dubs and film grain filtres had been applied. Thaks

nice job there...

avatar greymval

Looks good, with a double layer that is blured and overlayed you could make the impression of a 'sfumato'. Or just blur around 2 and then edit fade-blur until it looks right.

author says:

Thanks for the suggestion Greymval, I got it, but I used paint daubs just to make the lines and forms stand out. I'll try your suggestion though as well as a technique I've been using a lot lately ...
