dude... i got this pic in my mind and i i made it, i got all i needed from pics itself... and ther was no need of using and other effects (excepy a little filters as i mentioned), so y use it it when u dont need 1...

You have a point about that author and I do the same myself but it does show how well you can combine multible sources together when you do and how tallented you are but to each their own.

lights should be from inside

lanterns are made of a sheer paper, you should remove the highlight from the top and add a "hot" spot where the light from the inside is showing thru, like a thin lamp shade at night! more like this image: http://www.worldofstock.com/closeups/TAE2373.php

the highlight would be more convincing if you could put a light source coming from the inside.

we all feel better in the dark!
