Love this! At the angle you have the light source, the shadow of the mushroom head would be almost round. GL author!

I made a sketch in max and saw how shadows should be & placed it in SBS.

Honestly i can't see anything that would make sense, man ( please don't feel offended) but it's kind of chaotic in here. I had to check the sources to guess what happened.
Wouldn't it be easier to cut out the guy with the fire and outline him, make some fire-ish contours, add some burning cracks as well etc, BUT without loosing his shape? GL

how did you come up with the idea?

it sorta evolved, I started this piece for the Electricity digital painting contest, but then I re-read the rules and realized I had broken several. So I figure I would just save it for a photoshop contest. Then this mixed manipulation contest started so I figured I would finally finish it I guess the idea kinda created itself as I went.

THANKS EVERYONE! to CMYK, I see what you were saying and I did tone down the smoke a bit. But I do want there to be some, I mean he is a gas mask....thing therefore there should be some gas and spaceranger thanks so much that is possibly the best compliment ever, I love that artist!!!!

What do I think? Author, this is UBER cool work! I think you should do more of this style work! I love the colors, the feel and definitely those metal panels and 'screws' as you call them, tho they look like rivets to me. Those tubes look translucent, which somehow adds to the creepy-steampunk look, which I love.
And Space Ranger, I had to look up HRGiger...... whoa!

I think it is absolutely amazing. Great use of the source, very well made, author!
