The hair is not bad, if you left the rest of the girl as a statue or coloured her in to look like a real girl that would be much more effective imo
this isn't really hair...its paint

Absolutely stunning..Incredible image and a very nice mood. Good luck.
great
Very good, but crystals in the tree!?
yea i know sander and it's floating in the sky !!!???? dude this is fantasy.
not so much that there are crystals in the trees.. it's more like the crystal doesn't blend well into the trees... from a distance.. awesome... HI RES, up close.. the crystals punch you in the face (take over the image).. lots source to balance... good luck*
great image! you have GOT to upload a step by step for this
ahh i see only problem is that by the time i have to work on details like that the file size has ballooned and my already slow compter and unstable cs4 begin to crash randomly i'm realy sorry but i dare not open that file again for everyones safety here cuz for all i know it'l explode.
This one kind of reminds me of the Final Fantasy series, good work!
great entry , good choice of images , Fantastic outcome.

I once saw a flawless crystal ball at a museum and it played tricks on my eyes because I could see the distored things behind it but I couldn't actually see the glass itself. The attempt here was to recreate that. (5 years and 3826 days ago)
The sphere needs to be round for a true effect.. (I've sold tons of those things out of my old gallery) Roundness will give it more realism (glass blowers seldom if ever make an ovoid crystal ball) but if you want to keep it ovoid I have no problem with that either.. I'm just thinking of keeping it real.. good luck author.. FUN PIECE
EDIT: Much better author.. really looks better.. I know it's tricky.. especially working with sphere.. if I could.. I'd put a sphere in every piece I entered
I thought it was a circle! I'll see if I can round it up a bit.
Edit: Round enough for ya?
It's floating above the hand...
CMYK, that was kind of on purpose. I'd love to say, to give it that Mystical Magical feel, but really I couldn't get it to look right sitting in the hand. Besides, it give it that Mystical Magical feel, don't you think?
Edit: one last attempt and I think I got it in the hand. I think I'm gonna stop there.
Nice
hmm.. something doesn't look right.. ok. the thing is that it looks like it's in front of the hand, not in or above it. if you still have the fingers on a seperate layer, put them behind the ball layer and play a little bit with the colors and blur maybe. just so it'll appear that the ball is somewhere in the hand area
good job
Nice, but I think you have to play way more with light and shades. Especially around the hand, I'd expect more shading there. Check this tutorial otherwise http://www.lunacore.com/photoshop/tutorials/tut009.htm. Good luck!
Very nice, good work
maybe make the edge of the crystal ball more defined
Congraaaats ... Nicely done!

I racked my brain thinking of something to spend a ton of money on that would be totally useless. Then it occurred to me that when I worked in a gift gallery, we used to sell some of the most expensive crystal in the world.
We had a gentlemen from Russia who wanted to buy over 200 sets of a grouping of grapes that cost 350 dollars each to make a giant chandelier for his yacht. By the time we finished the design in crystal, the COST, Not the retail was up to 350,000 dollars. It was amazing how much he was willing to spend when At the time I was having trouble making rent. (He later flew to the factory and bought the entire lot from the owner of the factory)
So I decided I'd commission a room made of crystal encased columns, crystal encased floors, crystal lit ceilings
I added the girl with a crystal filled hat in a crystal backed frame for the opulence factor.
Please see SBS for my sources (5 years and 3838 days ago)
wow, it's almost scientific as you scanned the piece of crystal! amazing, how colorful
lot of work, you should have taken a vertical size(room feel is missing a bit). but still good.
yeah look very good! good job
