when you colourized you lost alot of detail... I still have trouble with it myself... and this photo wasn't the best quality for that anyway ( i tried it lol)

The eyes are interesting but the background distracts from the subject. The face looks washed out. Maybe you would have gotten a pale but crisper look if you had took out some of the saturation vs painting it with white at a low opacity. I am sure some of the other gurus will be able to sugest a better technique. Good Luck and keep on chop'n!

Eyes look fake, you should have kept the original fabric...you could have done that by overpainting the way you did, but on a separate layer, then reducing the opacity and/or playing with blending modes.
