Nothing more than Photoshop and lots of thinking. Good luck good artists. (5 years and 2819 days ago)
Oh, I'd like to see a hi-res version...
A friend of mine asked me to create the cover art for his new album. Of course, this is the version without text.
The image contains 6 different photos of mine taken over the last few years, combined to create a surrealistic & exaggerated "storm of the century" - like image. Nothing was from an outside source other than the brushes used to create the lightening.
Techniques to create the image were all performed in Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3.

Oh, I'd like to see a hi-res version...
This is very nice image but i don't see it as surrealism...Every single element is blended very well and all together presents very nice image but without surreal mood...Try to add some pieces that will enhance theme of this contest....
Congrats with a spot in the next round
Good luck on the next round!

This piece of art is a tribute to friends at Robot Entertainment which designed the great Gnoll Hunter for OMD (Orcs Must Die)! You guys rock!
My creation was done digitally with Paint Tool SAI, Adobe Photoshop and finally enhance the details with Adobe Lightroom. Of course with the help of my graphic tablets, this piece of art could be unleashed today just before the deadline running out!
Techniques I’ve been used are standard and basic concepts; from gray-scale into color (overlay) layers. Initially start from sketch, colors, to details with my own custom brushes. No external images applied besides the source image. (5 years and 2853 days ago)

I was going to name this work as (Before the Battle) because my first inspiration made me draw the face stressed out, but i wanted to use the source image in more than just texturing, so i decided to make that evil character which imposed upon me changing the name, there were few options those related to wars and can match my entry, so i picked this one because this evil character represents war makers.
I spent hours and hours painting this to get the original concept i was thinking about, some flaws must be made during the painting process, therefore feed back is appreciated.
Many thanks to silegl69 from sxc.hu for his permission on the statue photo.
