nice! how did you make the eye?

ricky.. I'm pretty sure the eye is the chestnut with a blue hue change and center blackened with two white strike marks on the right side to create gloss.. though I could be wrong.. but the author says it's source only.. so I'm pretty sure that's how it was done

No Drivenslush. Eye has been drawn by me. Blue circle and then paint with line around with different color, painted with soft brush 2 highlights spot, pupil painted, added some shadow around eye. To avoid keeping multiple layers, I draw eye only on one layer. This eye can also be useful in my futures entries. . BTW thanks for your observation and assumption

The inside edges of the dinosaur (near the shadow) should be darker because they'd be shadowed also. Also the front of the first arm should case a shadow on the body.

This is insanely great, and don't listen to Visba about edges & shadows...

Thanks for the comments. LKY this contest is from the old PST days. In fact it was one of the last contests. The original wording was a little different and there were other dinosaur entries. I checked with the moderators and they said any animal as long as it was a real animal that lived. The Contest guidelines mention this.
