IMO too much filter is used on the background and a lot of the detail disappeared. REALLY nice composition overall though and good use of source!

@Kid; you're mistaken. It's not filters I've been used for the background. It's a digital painting method with SAI Brush that has a textured like a paper (watercolor rough paper) and it's obviously to distract viewer's eyes into the main composition; the Golem and the Fat Boy. = )

Weird sense for a fantasy garden but I like it. The only thing I would corrected is the masking of the arm. Also, the brush around the arm does not fit with the image. Either get rid of it or use another, more detailed brush.

I agree. To me the brush detracts from the image.

guess my tired eyes failed to notice the horrible edges around the arm.. and the more i looked at it this morning the more the brush stroke bothered me too... thank you for your comments and input..

Great surrealism here...not much of a garden that I can see...but to each his own.

Nice idea but you it is hard to find birds on this pic, You probably could crop the part with birds and cut out and paste hand near the birdies... imho anyway good entry and good luck!
