Interesting idea. The domes wouldn't have reflections, being behind the rocks, but the rocks would. The reflection of the creature's tail at left needs alignment, and IMO there would be some ripples around the objects in the water.
TY.I add some water ripples & i remove the reflections as you suggested (i hope i did it right).
Very imaginative, but the focus clarity of the image is too inconsistent to "read" smoothly to the eye, particularly the background behind the items in and on the water. Some selective blurring will help push the background down and make your focal point of the water stand out more. I would also slightly darken the background behind the ship sails to help them "pop" a bit more.
Also, since this is a "night" scene, you need to adjust colors. As a very old song used to sing "Red is black, and yellow, white..." At night, yellows are not yellow, and the green would be black...While there may be yellows, they would be from incandescent lights. Yours are giving a blue cast, making the color situation even more noticeable.
TY.I blur the b/g a little bit (i hope is better now) & i darken the photo a little bit too!
I love your concept and you turn the sourceimage in several ones. Great, GL
So much lovely work done here...too bad it will go unnoticed because of the lack of a dominant main subject.

...the car travels to a programmed date upon reaching 88 miles per hour....
I love the concept of time travel, and when I told my parents that some modifications were being made to my car, they were quite concerned - at first. (5 years and 2595 days ago)
The cylinders you show in step 4 are much better than the ones in the final version. The cables don't appear to be attached to anything, and neither does the new steering wheel.
The bolts shown in the SBS are the originals, and were transformed for this entry. Regarding the cables and wheel, this is new technology, attachments are on the rear of the wheel and in the dark recesses of the cabin, a clean look compared to the clutter of wires and boxes in the DeLorean of the 1980s. Good observations.
Congrats Carol very nice work

I like the idea, and the mood set with the figure being very shadowed... however, this is probably just personal opinion, but why would the mountains be a target for a h-bomb? wouldn't a city scene being off in the valley make more sense? i mean, why blow up rocks and trees, when there are buildings and people to vaporize? ;] great work, good luck!!

A ride in an earth-like balloon somewhere near saturn ;) (5 years and 3211 days ago)
Good job!
Just one suggestion: Step 10 looks better without the white streak across the balloon. GL author!
Thanks CMYK! I'll have some more work on it, I wanted some cloud stripes in front of the balloon to give the scene some more deepness, I guess it needs some more work to make it clear but subtile.
Very creative literal take on the theme (which would be emphasized if the title were "World Balloon". I like the calm, restful mood evoked by the muted color palette.
While greater depth is a good objective as a general rule, I like the uncluttered simplicity of Step 10 which I think already shows a lot of depth starting with the front-plane clouds in the lower right corner and then going diagonally back to the balloon floating over the cloud "plain" in front of the cloud "mountains" in front of Saturn in the far distance.
It's the best description I could ever hear about this scene. Thank you so much! I'll take off the front layer of clouds.
Really nice take on this theme. Like how you distorted the earth image to match the shape of the actual balloon. I'd like this even more I think if Saturn wasn't monochrome. This works too...though!
EDIT: Author your explanation makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing. I like the way it is now too. Upon looking again...I think the way it is now lends more of an attraction...because it ISN'T typical. Nice job!
Thanks for your comment pixelkid, most of what we do as artists is in certain way a recreation of visual fantasies that are part of our self made inner world. This goes for the monochromatic vision of saturn: I've always been seduced by the idea of how would it look to have a big exotic planet near earth, and the thing is that actually in daylight it would probably look very similar to what I did in my composition, due to the color filtering of our blue atmosphere.
Yes, this is more about visual poetry than about optical realism... Thanks again!
Very pretty scene
Thxs!!!
