It's a nice idea and the execution is pretty well done. Personally I'd skip the PS generated texture though, imo it's a bit distracting from the actual image. If you chose for it to give the image an older look, I'd recommend to use a photo of an old paper/fabric texture. More subtle and perhaps with better "old" result. Good luck!

The stark highlight on the knight suggests that maybe the tree 'dragon' might have a more pronounced highlight on it's face and front. Nice job!

let's say that the lighting in the armor of the horse is a reflection of lightning illuminating the belly of the dragon

Just to clarify, source 2 is a photograph with a photoshopped background. Since the author only used the house from the source we have allowed the use of the image. Normally manipulated images are not permitted.

Great effect, great use of the source images. If, in my opinion, I can lift the dragon up a little bit as it's quite close to the bottom of the canvas But apart from that, I really like this artwork - especially the gold colour dragon

@ Riady: Good observation, but I like where he is in the sky in relation to the background colors, so I cropped off some of the top of the sky. Now it looks better to me. Thanks!

Beautiful creation, author! This lighting direction is always tricky, since it's basically backlit from the sun behind...you'd think that the front of the entire dragon would be darker...but that being said...I like it the way it is. I want to be able to see it the way you've depicted, not the way it probably 'would be'. Nice job! Agreed that it is up there with some of your best!
