It was a difficult source to work with, i wanted to do something that didn't resemble the rest of the entires in the contest where the eye was still clearly visible. I made a selection of the iris and using the spherize filter i gave it a rounder appearance, then with shading i adjusted the direction of light in order to give it a more orb-like feel. I apologize about not providing a step by step guide.. on many of my entries the final .psd file becomes corrupted and i'm unable to open the majority of them.
