nice work

For some reason reminds me a bit of Donnie Darko . Perhaps I'd make the guy's shadow a tiny bit darker and give the suite a little bit of yellow photofilter. If you want you can give the guy a tiny blur (you can experiment easier with it if you make a smart object from the head and body) and also add a layer (with blending overlay) with some tiny grain noise, so it fits better with the quality of the background photo. Good luck!
EDIT: good improvement imo
Thank you so much for the suggestions, Waz! A bit of Film Grain really helped. I couldn't get the color filter to cooperate, but using Selective Color and adjusting the neutrals to have a bit more yellow and a bit less cyan seemed to do the trick.
This is looking great. I agree that the shadow of the man needs to be darker. Overall a nice creepy image. Love the description.
Not too shabby. Nice work.
great image, good luck!

I always like Lelaina's work...the sunsets are breathtaking. You did something different here. Not using the seagulls at all, but IMHO one of them against the brilliance of the sunset, like a silhouette, should have been outstanding. Just an opininon... good luck.
lol, at first I was like wait, I don't see any seagulls, and then I was like oh yeah you can use anything in the image, hello! =) Nice spin on it.
very neat work...gl

There are no shadows behind the man or the bottle, and the light reflection on the bottle is from the wrong side, since the sun is behind it.
nice scene u created , GL
Draw a line from the sun through the base of the umbrella. That's where your shadow should be. As mentioned, the man & bottle need shadows also. Good mood & color.
His back should also be shadowed, try to clone the shadow he already has to the extent of all his back surface - or paint it and multiply, if it's easier.
The umbrella should also have a shadow of it's own.
The transition from the sea to land seems a little to smooth for me. Although good entry author
Author, the revision is much better...good luck!
Good job on the shadowing and sunset blend with your horizon. Where does the water and sand separate?
