Nice work magicalfruittuts. Deserved higher.

author says:

Thanks, I'm trying to improve my compositing skills. Spent many hours on this one - watched numerous tutorials on shadowing, color matching, perspective, etc.
Had fun with it a learned a lot.
Thanks for your encouraging comment.
Congrats on your entry. Nice Job.

Those are like the most important stuff. A quick and dirty trick is to try the Nik Collection filters. I'm not really a 3rd party filters person, but these are good and are free. They were $500, however Google gives them away for free now. Better grab them while you can because Google has sold them to DXO. It's easy stuff and may, or may not work.

And thanks for the congrats. Nice meeting you. Feel free to msg any time.

Composited with many sources. This was one of the most fun Photoshops I have ever done. Had no clue as to how to make a Floating Island, but through perseverance, it got done. Mods the Tomato Root was used to mask the "Dead Tree" to make some of the roots. More sources:

Thanks mate. Good fun. On a side note it's amazing how many mistakes you can find once you actually submit your entry. You can check it 400 times in Photoshop and not see a flaw. Then you submit it, and all hell breaks loose.

Can you find the hidden lady? A heavy composite of many sources. Made the water from an underwater photo combined with a surface photo. The cracked and rising ground was some ordinary gray cement that was warped to make it look like it was breaking open (see source #1). Converted the cement to a "brick" look. A great deal of light, color, and various contrast methods. Hope you like it.

A complete Chess scene. The Queen is marrying the King. The Bishop is doing the ceremony. The "Rook Tower" in the background stands guard. (Rook was made with the main chess piece in the center. Will try to do an SBS)

I don't know why but it won't let me add all the sources. I will post them in a few minutes in the description. I added all my sources like normal, but when I press the "Done" button, some of them don't show. I have tried three times.

Zizounai says:

It is because you left some ' sign (apostrophe). For some reason the description boxes refuse them... Try to write "king robe" instead of "king's robe"

(5 years and 694 days ago)

author says:

OMG you are so smart!! Yes that's what I did. "King's robe" "Bride's dress" etc.

The blur on the very foreground objects are not working for me. Perhaps a little too much.

author says:

Look at the depth of field in the source. It is extraordinarily shallow. Look how blurry the nearest chess pieces are. If anything there is not enough blur on the King and Priest IMO. But I can mess around with it and see what I can do. Thanks for your input. It always help for sure.

Those SBS's are a pain to do. Sometimes it doesn't even seem worth it, but your "Thanks" made it seem like it wasn't done in vain.

Thanks Wiking76.
