UPDATE: Changes to the tower's reflection.
Thanks to:
Cornelia Mladenova, for pics of river and boat.
GAZZA453, for pic of sky.
razvanmioveni: for pic of cart.
CMYK46, for pic of cliffs. (5 years and 3514 days ago)
Pretty, but the castle-hill reflection is off. Just as your canoe reflection is a simple vertical flip from the water line up, the castle hill from the water line up should be vertically flipped to create its reflection. (Stack some things on a mirror to see how reflections work.)
Dan is right, but you can correct this and have a great image.
Agree with above. Author see image for setting your reflection

Good Luck
Dan, CMYK, Nasirkhan (Your link did not work) but Googled some images to get an idea. I copied the tower, flipped it vertically and applied motion blur, to it. I also enlarged it more.I also worked underneath the boat reflection. Suggestions appreciated.
In the case of boat's reflection, you have to notice that the internal part must not appear on the water.
Thank you erikury, I worked over the boat's reflection again. I hope it looks ok this time.
Very good piece of work here.
Author the link is working perfectly , you should have to select 3 lines URL link starting from "http://thumb1" and ending "in-water-25574452.jpg" and paste into browser address bar.
Anyway it is just for your information
Nasirkhan: the link is working, thank you. I did more changes to the reflection.
Great!!!
cool
Very pretty scene......good luck with this!!
I don't think the castle-hill reflection should be more distorted than that for the canoe. More problematic, the castle-hill reflection implies that the lighthouse is surrounded by trees which is obviously not the case. Also the sky reflection has fewer clouds than the actual sky. And the castle-hill reflection is still unrealistically scrunched. Given the height of the hill, a simple vertical flip from the water line up would not permit any part of the lighthouse to appear in the reflection as long as the bottom edge of your image remains cropped where it is. [See your River source for an example of how a simple vertical flip from the water line up is the way reflections work.]
simple and realistic.
Dan: I added more clouds to the water. I flipped the image as you say, and you are right, the tower, should no reflect in the water. I really appreciate your comment, I learned something new this week about using reflections. That is why I love Pxleyes, it is a place to learn and to teach others. yes, I know, some do not like critics or comments, but guess what.......? I do. Thanks again Dan.
Beautiful and thank you for using my stock!
Cornelia: It is my pleasure..... Very good photos.

First I just added one big gold fish but then I thought it would be more fun to have several small ones. Then I added the boat ^.^ (5 years and 3544 days ago)
How about trying to use dodge tool on fin and tail to make it lighter? The source you used has a dark background, and the image you did is light... and you know, those golden fish have almost see-through fins and tails!
What erikuri said, also, the hull should be visible below the waterline.
Looks nice....Similar to another entry but a good one....
I have not looked at the other entries that much actually xP
Might be a good idea to look in future.
GL to you with this!!

author, if you want to receive a higher vote, you could include a very detailed SBS.. this would make the end results more impressive as the voter can think about the work you put into this piece (great message by the way)
I see from the source photo that the Hook doesn't have a defined eye hole and when you turned it for the chop you brought the hook into a closer perspective, it would help to have a more real eye hole instead of a blur. it's a very fine work.. perhaps you could blend in a more detailed hook eye into the image.. just IMHO.. you can only see the blur in high res
like your entry gl author
LOL
