The original background picture looks quite cool, but imo you ruin it with effects. Wouldnt you like to see the image a bit brighter? Good luck!
im not sure what you mean by "effects" ? I wanted the background to be darker than the face so that the face was the focal point and not the background

I like step 4. The face is the focal point regardless a dark or light background. I agree with wazowski, you have darkened the whole image too much and the face is ''lost''.
