Nice extraction, but the missing bit on the RH side should be painted back in slightly, and you might consider flipping the duplicate so it doesn't look quite so "cut and paste duplicated..."

This is my beautiful sister :) I made her this for her birthday (it was actually yesterday but this took longer than I thought it would) I did go to the link on the contest description and scrolled down through all the different images for some inspiration!! I ended up using this one (http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/tutorials-effects/mix-cool-retro-curves-into-your-photographs/) to create a brush and achieve some great effects! Other than the image of my sister, I used no other outside sources. (5 years and 3054 days ago)
WONDERFUL!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
(PSST! DRAW the background items.. I think some of your sources aren't allowed (illustrations and premanipulations).. don't think will it effect the finished image at all .. Great job)
hey thanks for the heads up, what source in particular are you talking about? I'll certainly fix them, I don't want this to be taken down! I put far to many hours of work into this for it not to compete
SORRY EVERYONE! I seem to have used some illustrations in my background that I will need to replace. So if my entry disappears for a while don't be sad, it will most certainly be back!!!
Thanks
Any thing premanipulated can't be used.. you'll get it, and the Mods should be able to help you as well.. GOOD LUCK!!!
yeah they took it down once, but I didn't realize they had done it. Thought I just clicked the "publish later" button when I uploaded so i put it back up on accident. So I'm waiting for them to take it back down for me. I'll have time to make new background elements tomorrow
Don't worry, You'll get the hang of it LOL.. Great work!
Fantasic job, especially on her face! Love the background, too, and I'm sure you'll get that worked out.
Thanks! everything is all worked out now. Other than a couple textures I created all the background elements right in photoshop, so I no longer have to worry about my sources apparently I need to freshen up on my rules every couple of months!!
HEHEHEHE!!! NOW It's PERFECT Great Save author!
The textures are still artwork created by others...You can only use "natural" texture images.
In the mod's message they sent when they took it down they only said to change my other sources, so apparently these ones are ok to use.
hahaha you were right Mossy! Shortly after I commented back, they took it down, AGAIN! heheh now this image is 100% created in photoshop by me with no use of any sources other than my own picture for a reference, so I think I should be safe now
It's a stronger image now. Great SBS, excellent Pen Tool work. Best of success!

beautiful image author...best of luck
A wonderful gift for your sister, very well done! Everyone has problems with sources at one time or another but you dealt with the situation with good humor and a positive attitude. I agree with MossyB the end result is most excellent!
Thanks a lot! I have always been a glass half full type of person
fantastic work gl author..!!
I know now why I was bemused by this image.. BRENDA STARR (make sure you use STARR not STAR.. LOL) old comic that I LOVED... .. very awesome finish author.. such a wonderful image
Hahah oh wow! Totally!! You would have thought I was inspired by her, but I sadly have never heard of that comic till now. Very cool
Congratulations!
Congrats !
Congrats again Robert, this is really beautiful
congrats...

This title amuses me, it was about 40 degrees this day! My model was certainly a trooper!!! I did this for a friend several years ago. I dug it up and worked it a bit more for this contest. (5 years and 3054 days ago)
Whites are a bit blown out in the final version, but at least the tattoo is gone!
I wanted the whites to be blown out, it was an artistic choice
Author, just my opinion. It's still a nice image.
(Especially without the tattoo!).
No offense taken I certainly appreciate your opinion and feed back!!
Very nice final image here, author.

Well done, high mark. Only one thing that I noticed, there is a weird green spot on her head (top right), seems like it needs some retouching.
Yup, I see it...NOW. Thanks!
It's late, and my eyes are crossing tonight. Will fix it in the morning. Thanks again!
U did great job author...with few minor tweaks this can be perfect...Mikael is right about upper right part and maybe u could use smudge tool to create few hairs that out of the hair line to achieve more natural and realistic look...also just an idea maybe u could create thing that Japanese woman do with the lipstick just in the middle of the lips...
Great, Colection.
sbobet
I contemplated giving her the "full Geisha" makeup, with the snow white foundation, and Geisha "experience" shape (did you know that the size and shape - top, bottom, or both) signify the age and experience of the Geisha?), but felt that would be too far from the "ethnicity."
Hair is SUCH a complicated thing to chop well. Too smooth and it looks cut and paste...I gave her some loose hairs on the RH side, but the ones on the left just didn't look natural...I'll try again.
Thanks for your comments!
Great transformation & SBS...GL author!
Wonderful creation author! greatly!
wow! great job.
great job on the girl love it! It I want to be picky I see that the background looks a bit unnatural. First of all there aren't any shadows under the trees and secondly, more important in my point of view, the very closeup of the face does not allow the background to be in focus. It's unnatural to the human eye, if I look at somethin that close, I see the background out of focus.
It's an "HDR" (High Definition Resolution) shot, so the focus is the same near and far, and the photographer was using a strong umbrella reflector light, so the trees had no shadow...
I do appreciate your comments, thank you for taking the time to point these things out. I learn things I need to improve with every entry, thanks to fellow members like you!
uhm, HDR has nothing to do with the focus, it simply means bringing out details in the very dark and very light areas, thus producing an image with rich details in all light levels. Just for clarification.
Thanks for the clarification...
Don't deal with a sense of humor much, do ya? lol!
c'mon, are you kidding?
Pretty good , right side of the nostril is puffy and there is a lack of definition around the eye tear section.color is slightly washed out but I think I still like it. good luck.
This is well done... but... Asians usually have brown or black eyes...
I know, but then it would not have been much of a manipulation, as I could have just replaced the face with an Asian one...
Great work ! Good luck author !
Congrats!
Congrats, very nice work
