This entry was inspired by an original painting I once did in a series of stained glass paintings, but I have changed it substantially. I will include the original painting in my SBS. Thanks so much to taliesin at morguefile.com for the dogwood photo, and to raywal65 at morguefile.com for the scenic steps and garden. Thanks also to katmystiry at morguefile.com for the butterfly on the tulips photo. (5 years and 3515 days ago)
This is down right beautiful... I love the way the leaves show trough the glass to the sides... well done! Great SBS! Good luck!
couldn't tell the stain glass was made from scratch before looking at sbs, nice job
Beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful, marvelous... what else? I think there's no a perfect word for a perfect work like this!...

Used 1 source picture. Used lasso tool and eraser to chop glass. Used Lasso tool and cut and pasted onto the actual background of the source. Cut and pasted several glasses and faded them. Added grain on a background layer. Blurred and rendered lighting effect. Thanx to sachyn at Stock Exchange for his source pic. (5 years and 3518 days ago)
How did you do the shattered glass? Put it on a sbs to show us!...
Btw, pieces are a bit flat, maybe a bevel and emboss effect would be good.
This is off-theme because the high speed motion photography is not accurately understood. Let see other comment of mine, you will know why I said that: http://www.pxleyes.com/photoshop-picture/4bbc16b3d1a92/Running-on-water.html
Actually, Langstrum, I think this should be okay. It's capturing the shattering of glass at high-speed, no? My only suggestions would be to remove the repeated glass as this is not something that would be captured in high-speed, and maybe rather a motion blur. Also, the shattered glass seems a bit of a mess and it's hard to distinguish properly.
Hey ......what can I say. I have never broken a glass before. Thanx for all the input. It will help me on getting better. Good luck to all.
coooool....

The glass at the top (bottom) looks flat, there is no depth. Same with the beer-head, compared to your source image. Good idea, might be worth fixing
How did you keep the beer from spilling out? Haha!
You should upload a high res version if possible. This is actually a very nice chop and honestly, other than high res, I don't think you should change a thing.
Why would you suggest he/she not change it ? we can see in the sbs that he/she removed parts of the base of the glass. Obviously it would look better if it was not removed. So, I would suggest that you DO change it. lol
dude is always trying to mooch off my comments :P
nice
Thanks fot the tips and comments.
See what the SBS said? Ehh???!!!! Um, I'm sorry I see nothing wrong of any sort. Barnacle, I swear your blind because there's nothing wrong with it. The bottom and top look perfected rounded and chopped very clean and very convincing. Author, this is definitely one of the best entries I've seen and the high res helps. I see you placing. GL!
lol, thanks Nator. I guess we can't expect everyone to have our expert eye
great
