good work
good work but usually the refraction from the light ray can been seen midtonely from the glass due to its transparency
I think some renant of the spiral should be seen through the stem of the glass, but over all I think this is a strong image
Nice job good luck
It really shows the emotions of love... That's what you ment right? Good Luck!

Created in C4D and Photoshop, hope you like it.
Here is how it works.
1. Person who wants drink starts dominos at the end of the table.
2. Split in the domino's one lane releases a spring on a wooden box which raises the water jug and pours into the glass.
3. Tennis ball is pushed by other domino's and falls into a grate, which with the extra weight slides down its wooden holder.
4. This starts a new set of domino's which hit into some little army men who are holding up a golfball.
5. When knocked they let go of the golfball and it rolls into the next set of domino's.
6. These tumble into a spring which is released.
7. The spring releaded hurls the baseball up at a slight angle and it lands in a basket on the back of the pouring device and weights it down so it stops pouring. The glass of water is ready. (5 years and 3840 days ago)
add shadows
Now I'm not sure how the domino stones will push the little army men thà t direction that they will hit the golfball, but the way the bottle should stop pouring is funny . Good luck!
Ps small technical question, what you've done in photoshop and how many spotlights you used?
I really wanted to add shadows but I have not slept in 37 hours and I was worried about the deadline, I just wanted to get the piece in before I slept so, yeh my bad for waiting too long.
To Waz, the army men are holding a string that will detach from the golfball when it is pulled on, the domino's push the army men over and as they fall the string is pulled.
Oh and most of the work was C4D, in photoshop I cropped the image, changed some of the levels because I was unhappy with the colours after the render and was planning on adding some shading but like I said, been awake for too long and really need to sleep :-P
Love the concept.. and a whole lot of work.. I might tone down the tile so you can see the dominoes better, but you've put so much work into it, I'd hate to see it get muddled.. oh hell.. GOOD LUCK.. I couldn't do it LOL.. this contest confuses the beejesus out ouf me LOL
nice

Looks pretty ok! If you can remove the tiny darker outline around the woman, might improve the image. Good luck! PS arrgggh, it may be an even better improvement if you wont use google to search images or wallpapers. Check this page for more info http://www.pxleyes.com/blog/2009/06/how-and-where-to-find-legal-source-images/
If it is a reflection, it should not be flipped like this.
when using sources.. ALWAYS TRIPLE DOUBLE CHECK that they are allowed.. good work for a beginner.. you have the skill in sight.. GOOD LUCK
ok...
I really like your idea. I'm confused about what I'm seeing at the base of the glasses, and, for me, it is very distracting. I Iike the blurred background and the scene you created. Very nice. Good luck!
