Thanks to LongStock, the original owner of the girl inside the globe. (5 years and 3165 days ago)
The clouds behind the globe should be slightly distorted, if only around the edges of the globe. They are too uniform at present.
Here is a "glass orb" tutorial that might help you with the edges:

I started to put this together for the Christmas contest using a stock model and a different idea in mind. I still might try the other idea but for now I think this works. I used 5 of my photos and two images of snow provided by Deviant Art. Thank you to Mimustock and MLStock.
No 3D rendering capability for my little laptop thus the snowglobe look was made from a Jelly Belly dispenser...mmm, Jelly Bellies... (5 years and 3343 days ago)

My first thought about the source image was what we're doing to this planet. Although I'm not an activist.
I used simple tools for this project. Rendered the face (liquify filter and painting), cut the parts needed and made some blending mostly by brush, eraser and healing brush. On the deforestation image I reorganized some parts of the photo and also used the clone stamp to blend these changes.
Thanks to sxc.hu and flickr.com for the sources I used! (5 years and 3356 days ago)
