I think you were striving for fire and water, and all I see is water, Maybe retain some of the fire's original shape and color to see the two elements as one, IMHO the entire image just looks like a water spray with some yellow shadowing...

Retaining some of the fire's resolution and color might make it more Yin and Yang

I like this one alot. I would suggested having more outline of the boat... like it was on fire going through the water, a ghost boat on fire, or just the two guys in the boat on fire!? The sea and boat part of the picture is needed more in your artwork here to bring everything together!

the water over powers the fire for me ..therefore lacking the yin yang balance ...but thats me

Nice scenery, but i'd remove the white cube underneath the model, and i also suggest making the frog and snail a little smaller. Other than that, it's a good image with a nice atmosphere. Good luck!

Taken into consideration the difficulty of the image in contest....I think you've done a great job. Taken into consideration that there are only a few entries in this contest....I am pretty sure you could win this one! Therefore it's just a matter of you wanting your image to get better regardless of contest's results and chances. So...my opinion is this image could rock with a slight few details improved. And I suggest: 1. Soften edges of the lamp. 2. Try to add some shadows to the birds for it looks too blue all over. 3. Be more daring with the light beam 4. Maybe a bit of high pass filter.

But overall, very nice composition, perfect title, super usage of just the right elements from source image, I LOVE IT! Best of luck!
