according to the story, hope was left inside the jar, leaving the mankind doomed with all the evil that has been released.
in my entry, i released Hope, cos i think it's still there.it has never been lost. you just have to search for it and unlocked it. it's deep within all the sufferings and evil that humankind is facing.
:D hope you like it.
i will appreciate suggestions.
i know the entry is not great so i would really appreciate your help by your suggestions and comments to make it better.

The black hands don't make it look very hopeful, looks kind of scary. A bit of glow around it might help, too.

I think the hands need to be less jagged in places and maybe the eye would look more sinister with the lids slightly closed in appearence... you've made a good start...

ooh. yes the hands are made to make it look scary. they are the evil.
but like in the description there is hope beneath all the evil, you just have to capture it beneath them.

Pandora's box contains all the evil in the world, but once opened it traps hope.
Does the box contain hope or does it contain evil? I'm not the man to decide.
While not as cool as some of the other entrys I took JamesD's comment about hope/salvation and but a spin on it. (5 years and 3334 days ago)

I see this image not as a joke or humorous image but as a statement piece... and an interesting one. It allows the viewer to determine the meaning, whether good or ill ... which is very clever indeed! I for one see these symbols as representative of the hope left in Pandora's Box. High points from me for ingenuity and originality.

Pandora battled her way through the maelstrom to close the lid on the tempest she'd released. A ray of hope at the bottom of the jar called to her and gave her the strength to carry on.
