KERPOW!!! wonderful creation !!!!
What can I say more? Just spectacular! Even though I don't see any leg here, it's not important anymore, just enjoy the beauty of this piece. Magical Friday night!
IMO the background is needlessly distracting, but this is extremely well done. Looks more like a sea snake than a sea horse, though. Nice work, author.
Stunning ! very well done and source use is unquestionable
great work
try blurring the background a bit using a gaussian blur to make the sea horse pop more. I think a nice blur will make the background less distracting without taking away from the piece. Nice work! GL author.
i was waiting for this..... Such funtastic work..., good luck author...

well built -- would soften the edge of the horseman and its base -- the edge is a bit ragged with stray pixels and the bottom is a bit too straight a line
Edit -- the changes are very well done -- has improved thsi image quite a bit
this also lacks depth IMO
EDIT: Someone want to justify the thumbs down??... it's a fair comment!!!
The white highlights are a bit distracting. In Photoshop, Image>Adjustments>Selective Color>White will help you adjust them down without affecting the rest of the image.
I think this is very cool.. just maybe add some shadows and highlights to give it a bit of "oumf" good luck
JamesD is right, try playing with different blend modes with the amber over the statue to give you different effects, or alternatively try painting in some shadows and highlights.
Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I modified.
Interesting work, unusual concept.

Took the source pic and changed its perspective to fill the room. Placed a picture I took of a merry ground horse into the image and polished with filters to fit into the room.
Added light filters and color layers to change the lighting to the right upper ceiling.
Cropped burned and polished the finished product. (5 years and 3347 days ago)

yes,......! this is amazing......! how about making it lit bit ' fatter' ? I mean it still look flat,...well thats just IMO,...great amazing creation anyway.....
Only three legs?
very nice build -- like the shadow and the plain background -- very effective look
beautifull, good luck!
Very nice work author, I do have 1 suggestion about the shadow, don't get wrong the shadow is perfect, but what I would suggest is to move it down a little so the shadow is right under the hoofs, only my opinion though. But great work.
Nice start! And as our friend Bob talked about the legs... if you put a bent front leg, like a trot, would be nice.
Thanks to all for your constructive suggestions and nice comments. Added leg and change position of shadow
Much better.
saturate it a little
This is lovely. I especially like the sprigs of leaves on the tail. That's a wonderful touch. One small suggestion? Maybe you could also add one small sprig of leaves to the mane. Try it and if you don't like it, take it away.
Thanks RickLaMesa and IDt8r. Made changes as per your suggestions.
very different work!!
Very nice work author ,good luck
Fantastic work! make the shadow little darker, the areas which is closer to the legs. Good luck!

Nice clean manipulation! I'd try to watch out for the black edges around the model, but other than that you've done a good job. (watch out for light sources and shadow direction too)
