EDIT: the permission for the book source is in the SBS.
Thanks to David Resenes (http://www.flickr.com/photos/dreneses/) for the beautiful book.

I made a young centaur melting a little dancer and the horse, to create a creature who reminded me the fantasy tale's atmosphere of the circus.
*
I tried to give the centaur the look of an old illustration using different patterns, and used the Circus decoration like a publishing house logo. Then i completed the word Circo using a C like base for the last O.
The dancer and the book are Flickr images. (5 years and 3742 days ago)
i love those romantic stories behind a circus... by the way.. i visit this particulair circus every year.. but i never had seen this lil cart so I took a picture because it was such a nice lil car that it tickled my fantasy. I had expected a lot of colorfull works.. but yours dont have that many colors at all and is still very pretty.. i like it
beautiful work! High marks
Simple yet outstanding love this...
Wow!
I love old books. This is really nice. Especially the flower.
this is awesome! The only little thing is the "IL CIRCO" is not centered under the design above it--I would move it over to the right just a tad. Love this.
Madrid? 1,50 pesetas? this book is Italian or Spanish? , cute image, BTW
It's a Spanish book about an Italian circus. Maybe. (n_n)
Terrific... beautifully composed... everything just fits... awesome job!!

I used the source image to make the material for a horse fence and also for the bucket. Thanks to http://www.flickr.com/photos/swisscan/2557315648/sizes/l/ for the horse. You will see in the SBS (coming soon) how the material was used. Bryce 5 and Paint Shop Pro 7 used. (5 years and 3762 days ago)
good image though with the horse looking real, and the fence looking unreal, the image doesnt exactly match imo
Excellent colors and the creative mood, well centered with great perspective
Where are the shadows?
because of the haze and fog, there are no shadows. Bryce gives perspective shadows and you can tweak the shadow strenght, but I did not do this; I left it.
interesting; nice use of source; the horse is too light imo

what I saw looking at the source were lots of lines and this is how the line horse was born. after countless layers and lots of time I think the result is simple but also complicated like the horse I wish to have one day (this time a real one) (5 years and 3784 days ago)
Very excellent job.. I can see the a lot of work here.. GREAT JOB!!!
excellent work!
Pretty nice result. Just dont get well why you added some shading on the white parts inbetween the colored lines. As far as I understand those white parts is just background, right? So it should be just plain white or whatever color the background has. Good luck!
Good job on a difficult source to work with! The perspective on the platform thing makes it look bent...
Oh my god.. who looks at a map stack and think 'Horse'?? Obviously you, and i'm glad you did. A standing ovation for you author. Good luck!
thanks a lot for the nice comments! the platform was intended to be bent but the result is more of an accident
Such a great idea! I just can't stop staring at it
Fantastic pic

author.. if you get a chance.. I think you would like this.. your piece reminded me of it (Just thought you'd like to see it
(Things stick in my brain.. I usually can't get them out.. they stay there and I store them, this film came rushing back in a flood when I saw the plains in your piece, and couldn't get it out of my head)
Well done a very interesting idea, good luck
yeah... a great job!!! congratulations
sick movie Golem; the sound...is stuck in my head now:P where do u find these things?
really think it's great... being nit picky, i think it'd "clean" the composition if you get rid of the ball coming out of the left front leg
Awesome work author. Great result.

kinda creepy... good work with the lighting though...
Did you enter this in another contest? The animal evolving contest? Did U screw up and enter the wrong contest?
Yes i did it , but i make mistake , i think that i post this here ...
I guess you learned like I did that you can't remove an entry but just replace it with another. Probably your best bet for the animal evolving contest.
Good Job
