I like the idea author, but you may wish to take a look through some tutorials on lighting. it can be tricky to get the lighting right in such a large scene, but getting it right can make for a hugely better look. Also i am sad to see the flowers be placed so far from the main focus that it is a wonder why even include them, other than the fact that they were the source for the contest. Keep practicing and have fun!

I've always been enamored with treehouses and the like thus my ideal fantasy city would be a tree city. I wanted to add more people but I couldn't find stock that suited. The horse stock and waterfall were my own images the rest are credited to various individuals from DA. (5 years and 2934 days ago)
reminds me of that old game Myst good luck author
its a great peace of art with many details...i can tell you put some efort into this...i'm just a bit doubtfull about some lighting issues and prespectives...but then again, it can just be my monitor that is distorting it a bit. good luck
Definite perspective & lighting issues, but it's a great idea.
good idea - the actual buildings look pasted on though - suggest slightly blurring edges, adding strategic shadows, and unifying the colours a bit (making the brown in the stone walls a bit greener)

I decided to really run with the "inspiration" part of this contest and make a heavily Tron inspired picture but not something seen in the movie. I ended up using a horse! (5 years and 2954 days ago)
Wow, it's great artwork and very believable one as well. Thumbs up
WOW!..instant fav..good luck author!
Stunning, author. Beautiful & Believable.
thanks everyone! A LOT of work went into it, glad you all like it!!!!!
Cool techno horse
Thanks! I listened to the Tron soundtrack over and over while I made this, so it certainly is a techno horse
I think it turned out fantastic
Amazing work!! Very well done!
im missing a lot of the horse in the rflection on the board, for example the glowing eye and other glows on the horses body that i dont see back..
I definitely see what you are saying Eladine, good eye. But If you look closely they are actually there. When I blurred the reflection they were the first of the details to be Almost lost. Even the eye is there just harder to see because the smaller things blur out first. I did go back and fix it, and it does look better when you can see the details you mentioned in the reflection better, but I forgot this contest if closed so I can't re-upload it
Absolutely fantastic effects
sorry i didnt commented sooner then perhaps u can add it into ur profile after the contest is over..
Congrats Robert fabulous work

Very nice effect, good overall fire.
Thanks you, MossyB.
if the flames were more "wind-swept", it may be better.
need to saturated more to bring out the colors

interesying concept and colors
It reminded me of "Clash of the Titans" movie, except that Perseus was riding Pegasus instead of turtle horse Very nice idea
seems like a poor choice of an image for the rider... i would think that you could have found a person riding a horse or other animal that would give you a better stance for the rider... neat image and interesting concept. good luck!
