For those one who's never done this before: try to look at a mirror holding another mirror... Voilá! The real droste effect!...
There are more than 12 masking layers here... sigh!... ;) (5 years and 3632 days ago)
Lots of fun! Please enjoy the high-res.
Before anyone says it... blur and "low image quality" created intentionally to create the desired mood and effect.
thank you for viewing!
Special thanks to Mrinkk and weetabixx from SXC for use of their photos! (5 years and 3636 days ago)
Nice, but maybe show the T.V. frame in front?
interesting
Interesing
Actually I was never even thinking low image quality. It's a great entry. GL!

Just a pic I took of my mother-in law.upgrade from PST. (5 years and 3728 days ago)
Good idea, but where's the x ray effect
Though it typically wouldn't be an "xray", as they don't show color, I do like your take on it, it's creative, and well put together. At high res the lines are really blurry though.
In high res, it looks like there's some lines near the chin that you forgot to blend. EDIT: Better.
this is a very good work.congrats and good luck
disturbing !! hehe. nice idea original
Thanks for the tips and compliments.
Good take on the concept. Keep up the good work.
INteresting take in the comp author. I love your eye structure and your choice of stock images. creative outcome ...
Very creative take on the theme.. i think it's just borderline acceptable, but i still think it's great!
nice idea!

I think that you did a great job on the statue, only the background i don't like so much. the idea itself is wonderful!

I found this image of a dead blowfish that I thought would be perfect for this contest. I have not worked with shadows all that much yet, so please be kind :). (5 years and 3836 days ago)

Quite a nice effect, but my first impression was that it seemed a bit crowded--maybe just a tad too many layers. Perhaps you could try spacing the layers slightly apart towards the front, then condensing them further back...? Not sure if this would fix it.
Thanks for the comments... But try it yourself to look at a mirror holding another one; you'll see the same thing - a mirror full of yourself!
Haha yes, actually, I have done that before. Realisticly, it's good. I meant that it was just a bit overwhelming at a first galnce. Gl, author.
Yep, too many repetitions without paying attention to scale, but not a bad idea...
nice
I just tried doing this for real again last night--even if a mirror is pressed flat against your face, there still is a little more space inbetween But, yes, as it progresses, it becomes very condesnsed as the picture displays.
Yep, it's a kind of optical illusion.
Great job, cant fault it
good
