Kind of cool. I think CMYK46 is too restrained in his comment; the image's message would seem to suggest that the whole of "Black & White" should be a rainbow or something. In any event, the 'C' needs to cast a shadow on the '&.' And the totality raises the issue as to whether an entry needs to be legible absent the title (which this is not).

Fun idea. Is this an expression in some particular culture? (I personally am not familiar with this saying.) Why are some edge bricks blank while others are incomplete text? Why does the highlighting of the central brick have fuzzy rather than crisp edges?

Nice glowing, but the sparkles are a brush? You could do them as small letters instead, would really keep the theme right on. Realize it might be a enormus job to change, but I recommend it. Feeling the rythm though

No images, nothing as decoration and no textures; in other words no outside sources are allowed.
You can not use stamps or brushes etc etc, only words are allowed to be used. Please go back and read the contest description

I read the discription: if you would have looked at my SBS, you would've noticed that I only used some brush options on a brush with 0% hardness, so that they would get spaced out. for the curls I used the pen tool and the simulate pressure option on the stroke pen tool...

nice light effects

The painted face looks very flat. It needs some shading, and maybe a bit of texture (Filter>Texture>Texturizer>Sandstone, and then Edit>Fade Texturizer to lessen the effect) to make it blend better with the rest of the image. Also the nostrils look wonky.

But a very creative overall approach to the source image. Good job!
